Links View is located in the coastal town of Prestwick, overlooking the world famous Prestwick Golf Course which inaugurated the first Open Championship in 1860 and is Scotland’s oldest baronial burgh dating back over a thousand years. The Scottish King, Robert the Bruce is said to have drunk water here, and Bruce’s Well can still be seen today. The beach is also within close proximity and boasts a long sandy beach with grassland and dunes that run alongside.

Prestwick offers a range of indoor and outdoor facilities including an indoor swimming pool and one of the largest indoor bowling stadiums in Europe as well as an excellent tennis and leisure club with indoor and outdoor courts. Prestwick Bay is popular with dinghy sailors wind and kitesurfers. The Main Street of Prestwick provides a choice of chic restaurants, bistros, trendy bars and a nightclub and a variety of independent boutiques to browse.
